На мой скромный взгляд - это лучший роман Корсака Маккарти, одна из вершин его творческого пути. Грязно, жестко, брутально, но при этом филигранно написано. Так что здесь достаточно и условного экшена, и полета мысли. Ну и читать, разумеется, лучше в оригинале, так не ускользнет никаких смыслов и игры слов. Плюс так можно в полной мере насладиться своеобразным языком Маккарти, это того стоит.
